The story behind this collection
The idea was to create a “basic” line which still gives the liberty for personal expression countless possibilities.
I decided to keep the focus on gold in its pur form, and all it’s glory. This gives the metal centerstage, thus keeping with the idea of a “basic” line.
A “line” is the most basic visual element.
It is the foundation of art, and expression, no matter the medium.
A line in art is defined as a point moving in space, and it’s one of the seven elements of art (line, color, shape, form, texture, value, space). It is one of the most crucial elements, as everything begins with just a simple dot in space that transforms into lines and so on.
It can be used to suggest shape, pattern, form, structure, growth, depth, distance, rhythm, indicate motion and a range of emotions.
